Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I entered Marlborough Middle School on Septermber 11th as if it were an ordinary day in 7th grade. I had no idea what had happened until the end of the school say. I went to soccer practise right after school, where my coach told my team that two planes had hit the World Trade Centers. I didn't think much of this since I was unaware of what the World Trade Centers were. I felt sympathy for all of the people who had died on the planes, but figured the crashes were just an accident. When my mom came to pick me up, she told me that something had happened in New York and that there was something I needed to see on TV when I got home. The first thing that came to my mind was whether or not my best friend, who lives in Far Rockaway, NY was alright. I was scared and confused at the same time. As soon as I got home, I turned on the TV and was in total shock. I couldn't believe what was happening. I never would have thought anything like this would happen in our country. My mind was racing with different thoughts and emotions. I couldn't believe anyone would do such a thing. And the innocent people who had died had families just like mine. I came to realize that life is never going to be perfect and not everyone will like each other in our society. Septemeber 11th has changed my life completely. I am so grateful to be living in a country that stands strong and never gives up hope. I've never felt so proud as I do now to be living in the United States, a place so beautiful and diverse that nothing can stand in its way. I think that the firefighters and people who have donated money and helped out the families and victims on September 11th should be remembered.
