I was in my room getting ready for school listening to Howard Stern which is recorded not far from the WTC and they started talking about it when it happened, so first i went and tokd my dad what was happening then i finished getting ready and listened to them talk about what was happening then after i finished getting ready i went in the living room and turned on the tv, not long after that was when the second plane hit. At school everybody was talking about it but the only class where any of the teachers said anything about it was in my history class. When i came home that day and turned on the TV the coverage was on every channel and it stayed that way for a few days after the attack. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. I think this whole country has changed in that we're more united and patriotic. Not as much anymore but especially the year following the attack you saw an american flag flying outside almost every home. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? All the people whose lives where taken by the terrorists and all the people that gave their lives trying to save the people inside the buildings. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? My family did fly an american flag after 9/11, as did most of the family around where i live. Since 9/11 the flag holds more meaning to me.
