NMAH Story: Story

I teach 7th grade science. The teacher in the room next came in and told me that her husband had just call. A plane hit the WTC in New York. It was the end of my second hour class. I turned on the television. NBC was on . Katie and Matt were talking about the "plane crash"...then, the second plane hit. My hurt sank. I was 9 1/2 months pregnant. When I saw the towers fell, all I could think of was "Please God, don't let my baby be born today!" The rest of the day was painful. How can I bring another child into this world? What was next?

NMAH Story: Life Changed

Everyday...I thank God.

NMAH Story: Remembered

As a country...I would like us to remember that we are fortunate to have are basic needs met. We have the luxury of living in this wonderful place, and that we shouldn't "impose" are beliefs on the rest of the world. We should take the opportunity to unite with others, and show them that we are generous, kind, and grateful people.
We are one nation...one world...one color...one race...

What can we do to change the image of the USA? What can we do to show the world the compassion that we have?

NMAH Story: Flag

Our flag flew before September 11, and continues to fly today. My heart hurts when I see the flag...part of me is proud, but part of me is sad that so many people in the world "hate" the USA...
