On September 11, 2001 I remeber mostly the looks on the
teachers faces. It was devistating to see all the of the
heads turned towards the ground, I couldnt tell if they
were praying or crying. When i got home after school,
I still didn't really understand what had happened to the
buildings that day. When i began watching the coverage on
television it seemed unreal what had happened. I didn't
think that anything could happen to the United States. I
found out then that bad things can happen to good people,
on other peoples religion and bad will.

My life has changed drasticly since since 9/11. Before it
happened i felt safe as if nothing could happen to me or my
family. But when i saw what happened i knew then that nobody
is safe in the world today, and to relize that all of this
happened on a count of someone else's religion just devistated
me.

I think the most important thing that should be remebered
about September 11th is the good will that all of the people
have done. All of the help from the NYPD and the NYFD was
amazing. To me those people who helped are the modern hero's
of today.

Yes, my family flew a flag from that day on at my fathers
work. My feelings about the flag have always been a sign of
freedom to me, and still now is a sign of freedom. The only
feeling that has changed is that now i know that America can
still stand strong after somethin terrible happens to are
nation.
