NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. I witnessed September 11, 2001, when I was at school. I remember coming back to my locker after 1st period and my friend told me that the World Trade Centers were hit. I had no idea what he was talking about. I really didn't know what the twin towers were and how big and powerful they were. I first thought that it was a bomb. I really didn't know what happened until the last period of the day. I watched no T.V. until the last period. I remember then coming home and turning on the T.V. and I was shocked that every channel was the news and I now knew how big this had been. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. Yes, my life has changed a little bit. I now know that everybody is sensitive because I saw professinal football players, and pro athletes for that matter, who were in tears because of this horrible day. I think to my self that America isn'i invinsible and that we need to be united and everybody was. I haven't stopped my life beacuse of this because I think that that is all we need is to just keep our minds on our country and not our enemies. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? I think that almost everything should be remember from the airport security failures to the firefighters and polices officers bravery. I think that all this could have been avoided if the airport security would have checked all the people getting on the plane. Everybody only talks about other peoples faults in the 9/11 attack. But some of this could have been avoided if some people hadn't been so careless. I do like to think of so many heroes that came out of this though. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? No I didn't fly an American flag but my school did. My feelings haven't changed about the flag. I feel the same about the flag that is a show of patriotism.
