NMAH Story: Story

I witnessed the world change forever.

My first thoughts were of great sadness and shock. I knew right away nothing would ever be the same again.

The reality of what happened did not honestly hit me until I saw ground zero for myself. The towers of NYC were gone...along with over 2,000 lives. I'll never forget what it felt like to see it after everything was cleared away and all that was left was silence.

NMAH Story: Life Changed

Yes, I could never look at a flag the same again.
I can not hear "God Bless America" without remembering the events of September 11th. It has given me a reason to love this country. I appreciate my freedom for a reason now. I can honestly say I love the USA.

NMAH Story: Remembered

The brave people that risked their lives for strangers...
and the innoccent lives taken away in the terror of the attacks. Also I believe it is important to remember how not only New Yorkers came together but the whole country has stood strong as one.

NMAH Story: Flag

Yes, my family put a large flag out in front of the house the day after the attacks. My feelings have completed changed about the flag. I never saw it as freedom, not really. Now I see the flag as a symbol of hope and true freedom.
