Studies at Emporia High School. My partner Dustin S. and I were working on a project that has to do with putting out a candle with sand. All of the sudden Mr. Wyrick came running in the room holding a TV in his hands. He told us to come over there and we watched the two planes crash into the World Trade Center one after another. I remember the sorrow and the hurt for our country and for the people that had perished in the attack. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. It hasn't changed much after the time of the attack on the outside of me or anything, but inside I feel alot more patriotism for my country and I would do anything that I can, now to help my country. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? I think that the people that died and the people who did everything in their power to stop them and save the World Trade Center should be remembered. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? Yes, we put up a flag up at our house to show our patriotism for our country. No, not at all. I think the flag is fine the way it is.
