NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. I had just got up from a peaceful sleep and turned on the TV, there was new reports comming across the news about the World Trade Center Buildings being hit by planes, I watched in horror as these buildings were attacked and brought down by unknowns at the time. I yelled to my husband to come see what was on the TV, we both stood in disbelife as we watched what once was a beautiful skyline in New York, come crumbling down to dust and rubble. It was unbeliveable to watch. The people who lost their lives, the people who risked their lives for others, and those who were left behind to suffer the worst of anyone.It is very hard not to feel hate for the humans who were behind this mass destruction. But I hope that time will help to heal the wounds, AMERICA was wonded, But our values and honor were not touched. I hope that my grandchildren will never ever have to live thru something like this again.GOD BLESS AMERICA NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. Being a Nurse I thought I had seen and heard everything there was to see about human behavior, But I was wrong. After 9/11, people came together like I have never seen, people found the compassion once again that seemed to of gotten lost in our fast paced lives. We came to the aid of those in need, and showed how we CAN as a COUNTRY, come together in time of need. I have learned to cherrish every waking moment with loved ones, and never take life for granted. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? I think we should remenber that no matter what, before we are any COUNTRY, we are HUMANS first, and should treat each other as such. Do Not let the lives of those people do died on 9/11 be for nothing. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? Yes, I have several flags that are flying at my home, and no my feeling have not changed, I have always thought that we live in a great COUNTRY, and that we have the FREEDOM to do as we please.
