NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. I was just getting out of bed for work when my fiancee,Michael, turned on the t.v. he told me to hurry and get out of bed. I got up and looked at the t.v. I thought i was dreaming I could not believe my eyes right at that moment was when the second plane hit the tower I stood there in shock and disbelief. I watched as the towers fell and all I could do was cry. I carried on and went to work(I worked in a restaurant)and got there a little after 11am,I have never seen so many faces with so much confusion and hurt on them. We were not busy that day,me and my coworkers gathered around the t.v. at the restaurant and watched as our nation fell under attack we cried and hugged alot just trying to comfort each other. I went home shortly after 1pm and sat with my fiancee in his arms, I felt safe but in reality I was scared, I was scared for my country, I was scared for all of those people who did not make it out of the towers and their families,but we did not run and hide we fought back and will continue to fight back until we are triumphant. I am proud of the men and women who risked their life to save one and thank them from the bottom of my heart, they are heroes and will forever be remebered ion my prayers.
