At the end of my 2nd period class, a friend of mine told me that a plane crashed into the World Trade Center. Everyone thought that it was just an accident, but, eventually, news arrived of the second crash. From then on, in almost every class students were watching the news or talking about what had happened. This was scary for me, because that morning my parents were scheduled for a flight to Mexico at 9:20 AM out of JFK airport. Luckily, my parents were late for that flight, and they were rescheduled for a later flight. No plane going to Mexico was captured, so my parents safety was not in danger, but if they had got on the flight, they would have ended up landing in Atlanta and would have been stuck there for a few days. They ended up staying at a hotel somewhere in New York City, and they couldnt come back until the George Washington Bridge was reopened. I dont know many people who lost someone in the attack, but one of my teachers did. Fortunately, my friends mother made it out of the World Trade Center after the first plane hit.
