NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. I was leaving for work and I saw that a plane had crashed into one of the towers. As I was driving, I heard on the radio that another had crashed. I remember the awful feeling of pins and needles in my stomach because I realized our country would be going to war. When I got to work, I heard about Pentagon attack. I watched the news on and off and listen via radio. I couldn't help but cry when I watched the first tower collapse. I guess because I then realized the second one would be falling too. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. I value my life alot more. I realize that I will have debt, but I don't want to stop living because I need to work to pay it off. It will just get paid a little slower. I pay more attention to the news as well. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? I think we should remember the lives that were lost....(because of some maniacs that should have been put away years ago). They say history repeats itself. The US has to remember not to let our guard down again. Pearl Harbor was one time and Sept. 11 is another. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? As an Auxiliary member of the American Legion, I flew a flag before the events.
