NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. Since I live in Tucson, I was a witness to these events only via TV and radio. I heard about the first of the towers being hit over the radio on the bus on my way to school. At first I thought it was someone's idea of a joke and chose not to believe it. When I got to school, everyone was in denial of the occurrence but were tuning in to their radios. After getting into class we discussed it and watched the news to discover that something tragic really did occur and that one of the Twin Towers was hit. I started to follow the news until it got to be overbearing. I think the media covered that story much more then needed and they showed the seen of people dying way too often. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. My life has not changed since the terrorist attack. I still act, feel, and think the same about myself and this country. There was always that chance out there and too many people assumed that it never would. I feel that even though America did not know of such a thing, they should have already had the better security. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? Only the fact that many people died, nothing else. We do not need to worry about future attacks because we did not even think about it before. Other people will not attack for some time because of the higher security going on in this country at the time. I think that we need not to worry and live our lives as they were before September 11, 2001. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? No I did not fly an American flag. I felt no more patriatism then as I did before. America should not have changed their ways just because of this attack, we should have had this kind of patriatism all along. We just prove to the world that we need an event like this to occur for us to think about how much we love our nation.
