NMAH Story: Story

I was at school and it happened around third period. My Spanish teacher told us just to listen to the radio with her she looked like she was going to cry. I wasn't sure exactly what had happened. She wouldn't talk to us. But I knew it was something big and bad. After third period nobody talked about. My school seemed to be this happy little place where the twin towers weren't under attack. At the end of the of the school day I had more or less of an idea of what was happening. Hearing from friends and other students. My school made an announcement on the P.A. saying nothing important happened....I guess they didn't want us to worry. But they should at least tell us something instead of nothing. I still hadn't seen it happen on the replays. And since I didn't see it for myself I wouldn't really accept it. Until I got home...

NMAH Story: Life Changed

Yes 911 changed my whole attitude about things...about America. I didn't think anything of America...not that I thought it was horrible...but I didn't think it was great either...I felt nothing towards it. Just the place where I live. But now I have new found respect for the country and it's government. I can now honestly say that I am proud to be an American!

NMAH Story: Remembered

I think we should first of all remember those who lost their lives. And families who lost loved ones. Because those were innocent people just going to work and doing what they normally did. I think we should always remember them. As well as the firefighters and police officers who gave their lives for others. Helping other people when they need even if it coast you you're life. That's what it's about. America is about helping others in need.

NMAH Story: Flag

Yes, like I said before my whole out look on America has changed. My family does now have a flag. Before we didn't have one because we didn't have a flag pole. And we still sort of don't. My mom made one. Anyways...I think it's kind of sad that we need a major tragedy to get people to start raising their flags. I know I'm no better but I think all Americans should of flew flags (including myself) before September 11.
