NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. September 11th was just like any other Tuesday, I woke up and caught the bus for school. It was second period and Mrs. Nugent was talking to the class when Mr. Harlow came over from across the hall and whispered something to Mrs. Nugent. she quikly walked over and turned on the T.V. to chanel 9. That is when I saw those two gigantic buildings burning. I didnt know what to think. I was scaed, confused, and sick all at the same time. After leaving second period I went to third period to find out that the Pentagon has just had a plane crash into it. I got really worried now because my uncle works in the Pentagon. The news was kept on in the rest of my classes until we went home. I arrived home and then went to work and they also had the news on. About two hous after being there we heard a loud BOOM! Everyone was scared but we later found out it was a sonic boom so it was nothing to worry about. I watched the news the rest of the night. My family did fly an American flag after the events of September 11th and yes my feelings about the American flag have changed. I think it show more importance then before and it is a symbol of how strong we are as a nation.
