911DA Story: Story

After a morning of watching the horrific events of 11 Sept 2001 on television I went to my volunteer post at the McLean County Museum of History for my 1-5 p.m. stint. Around mid-afternoon I went to the front steps of the Museum for a break, along with Greg Koos, the Director of the Museum.

The sky was supposedly clear of aircraft, but five or more aircraft were moving from west to east, and we realized that Air Force One was flying back to Andrews from Omaha. The strength of that movement was overwhelming, for the nation quickly moved to diminish the threats of that which had enveloped the nation of the United States of America on that day.
