NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. I witnessed what happend on September 11th in school on the T.V. At first my teacher just told us that a plane hit the world trade center. I had no clue where that or what that building was. At first I thought it was just some small little one engine play, then about and hour and a half later in my 3rd class, we watched the T.V. I was really surprised when I say that they where commercial airlines with people on them, flighing hundreds of miles right in to a building with even more people. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. Yes, my life has changed in a couple of ways. I didn't think i would ever fly on an air plane after i saw what happend. When i did though, i had that little thought in the back of my head that i tried to get rid of. All the security made me feel safe. Befor 9/11 I never had a big tragedy in my life, it was definatly the Pearl Habor of my generation. I know that it is something i will never forget. I know that i will always respect every fire man,every police man,every medical person,and just every person that helped save as many people as they could. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? I think that just everything about that day should be remembered, even though it wasnt something good that happen. It is still so important that we should always remeber what happend that day. Thing like what you ate for breakfast, what you wore that day, where you were when you heard about it, how quiet it was with out a plane in the sky. The feeling that you had when you found out how many lives where lost. Also the people who helped out, everyone one that took down the plan in PA. All the spouses and families who lost people during 9/11. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? Yes, I flew an American flag after what happen that day. My feelings have changed about not jus the American flag but our national anthem. Everytime I hear it I think about how great the United States of America are, and how lucky I am to be here.
