On September 11, 2001, it was like 9:45-10am when my friend Ashley walked into our english class late and she told me that a plane had just hit a building in New York. I didnt know what to think of it, then our principal came over the loud speaker and said that the World Trade Towers in NY had just been hit by planes, everyone in the class was like "oh my god", and "what". Shortly after that we found out the Pentagon was hit and we live like 45mins from there and parents of the students work there. Everyone was in shock of what happened. Then we got to leave school early and I went home and turned on the news and saw what happened. I couldn't believe my eyes. Every channel kept playing the tape over and over. It didn't even seem real. I called my mom to tell her what happened and she didn't even know about it. My grandma lives and Manhattan and she called like 3 days later and said she could still see tons of smoke in the air. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? I think that everyone who lost their lives and all the firefighters, police, and anyone that helped out in anyway should be remenbered. I think that it should be remembered as the day when Iraq and Afganhistan realized not to mess with the United States.
