NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. Well a freind of mine called me up after the first plane hit one of the towers. Being from Calfornia...it was early in the morning...She Told me to turn on the T.V. because "THE U.S. is being BOMBED"...Now i was asleep when she called and of course my first reaction was, "YEAH RIGHT!"..I turned on the T.V. to a cable news channel, and what i seen will last with me forever. Not only did i see the first tower burning, but i seen the SECOND plane hit the OTHER tower. I told my freind on the phone that we were not being bombed...but The TWIN TOWERS are burning, and that i had just seen a plane go into one of the towers. She was speechless, as i was after that moment...all i could say was,"OH MY GOD"...and i am seeing it on the T.V....A few minutes after that...is when they said something on the news that a plane had hit the pentagon. Again i relayed that information to my freind on the phone...i felt like an ON SCENE newscaster who was LIVE at the event...again we were both speechless...She wanted to go home...but in her job she couldn't leave..she was haveing an ANXIETY i do believe bccause of the NOT KNOWING what was going to happen next....we hung up from eachother...a few minutes after that is when they showed the pentagon on fire...again i said "OH MY GOD"...of course i am not sure when this happened...but the President came on the T.V. and grounded ALL AIRLINES..where ever they were at they landed...but..here is where it gets fuzzy....during this time..i do recall that the NEWS channel i was watching stated that there were TWO PLANES unaccounted for...airliners that is....that haven't landed...but...of course they found one of them...that wasn't no more... As the day progressed i watched eagerly for survivors...i watched the Hospital...which i can't remember the name...prepare for TRE'AGE.ing the Future patients...they were prepared for THOUSANDS of them....i also remember the news stating that on any given day that there are a total of 10,000 people working/inside both TRADE CENTRE towers...of course i was sad to hear that ...thinking that this is worse than when PEARL HARBOR was hit...and of course my first guess was terroism...due to the fact that i was flashing back to 1993 when the TRADE CENTER was bombed....again i seen it on the news...i can sit here and type and type of what i seen that day....but it was nothing like what the people of NEW YORK were feeling...becuase THEY WERE THERE...i wasn't....but being an AMERICAN..and proud...i couldn't comprehend the mass killing that just happened...hearing stories later on that day how people called from the planes PHONES...talking to loved ones..the stewardess that was on the DOOMED flight that would eventually hit one of the TOWERS...saying that the plane was HIJACKED..the Lady who frequented CNN called her HUSBAND saying that HER flight was hijacked...and was later slammed into the PENTAGON...E! Camera man on one of the flights that slammed into one of the TOWERS...those are just some of the NOTIBLE figures who took those ILL FATED flights on SEPTEMBER 11th 2001...there are so many heroes that came out of that....some that don't or didn't get the RECOGNITION..or didn't want the recognition...with me being on the WEST COAST ...i felt helpless....i couldn't donate blood because it seemed like EVERYONE was donating blood at that time...i wasn't a search n rescue personell..i wasn't in the military to kick some ASS...so i thought the best way to help ....was to pray...pray for ALL THE FAMILIES of the victims, pray for ALL THE SURVIVORS to get well, PRAY FOR ALL MY FALLEN PEACE OFFICER BROTHERS AND SISTERS, PRAY FOR ALL THE FIRE FIGHTERS WHO ALSO FELL ON THAT FATEFUL DAY, PRAY FOR OUR COUNTRY TO BECOME ONE, PRAY FOR ALL THE COUNTRIES THAT LOST THE NATIVE SONS AND DAUGHTERS, PRAY FOR THE NEW YORKERS IN HOPES THAT ONE DAY THEY COULD ONCE AGAIN FEEL SECURE, PRAY FOR ALL THE SEARCH AND RESCUE TEAMS THAT FLEW IN TO SEARCH FOR VICTIMS AND SURVIVORS OF THE WTC AND THE PENTAGON. and of course ..i PRAYED FOR OUR PRESIDENT and his family...Our President had to become a fast learner that day on TERROISM...and i know that on that day...the world that we lived in on SEPTEMBER 10TH 2001...would never be the same ...and those days and years before that FATEFUL DAY...will no longer be...NEVER!!!! NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. My life has changed dramtically in some ways...and a little in others.. The dramatic way that it changed my life..is that...i was scared...or nervous to fly on a plane...i think that it was heriditary due to the fact my mother herself does not like to fly....THEN: i could tolorate flying...i would fly..but i was nervous NOW:..i will not even get on ONE PLANE...i refuse to get on a PLANE..friends tell me that i am MISSING OUT ON A LOT..which is true...but i will not get on one.. I have also noticed that i watch people alot more closley...i watch my neighborhood more closley...i am watching things that happen around me more closely...a friend of mine told me that i was PARANOID...well when you watch on the T.V. thousands of people dieing at once...and knowing it is TERROISM on OUR SOIL...yeha you tend to get a LITTLE PARANOID...the last time i seen the news they talked about SLEEPER CELLS...hell a sleeper cell could be in my town...I WOULD NEVER KNOW...and now with MY GOV. who will soon get recalled....letting UNDOCUMENTED WORKERS to get DRIVERS LICENSES is telling me that ONE, my govoner doesn't really care about this state by allowing that...and TWO, by doing that he not only is trying to "BUY" votes from HISPANICS but also putting this state in a very bit MAGNET for TERROISTS to come to the state...so if votes means the lives of CALIFORNIANS...there is something wrong with that...
