NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. I was working on a truck,outside of my residence in Boston, Mass. At first I heard it on the radio and thought a small plane had hit the building by accident. When my girlfriend left for work she had said it was a large jet and I went upstairs to see what was going on. After witnessing the second jet hit the building I felt sick and could not work anymore. Stopped what I was doing and decided it was a time for full attention to the event, finding out that the jet, at least one had been out of Boston, made me sicker and frightened, as the jet probably flew right over me on its way there. I felt we were all attacked and just kept thinking about the bombing of Bagdad. The things that happen over money, power and persnal beliefs, a true tragedy. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. It has only made me angry, for my own father was a WW2 veteran and was at Normandy France for the invasion and as a result became a violent alcoholic, as I myself did at age 14 or 15. A victim of a victim of a victim, never stops. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? That we should be more careful and dont under estimate the force of just one person, one angry person as a serial killer. They are not born they are made. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? I did not and would have liked to see more flags fly before the attack. I have been in the military and consider myself lucky that I am here in this country because everyone got a chance,they just need to see it. My feelings have not changed but my heart has been crushed once more. Thank you.
