NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. I whitnessed the terifing history of 9-11, while being at school. I remember sitting in 3rd period, doing class work. I belive there was a full class that day. One of the counslers came over the loud speark and said these words "Attention, Students and Staff, the north tower of the World Trate Centers has just been hit by a plane, do not be alarmed we ask that you pray for the familys of the people in there as-well for he people in the tower." That is when a big class discustion came up and we're all statarted talking. A few minutes later the same Counsler came over the loud speaker and said "Ladys and Gentalman the second World Trate Center tower has just been hit, this is terfiying and we ask that you remain calm, as school will continue." A few minutes later the loud speaker came up and said that The Pentagon has been hit, I was begining to wonder what was next as well was everyone else in the class, the teachers where in structed to remain teaching the class, but it was hard for the kids not to have a discution on it. Not to much later we where told it was a terorist attack and the whole day was terfing wondering what was going to happen next wondering if it was the Sears Tower that was next, as soon as I got home I went on the computer and I tried to find out the whole story, as to who did it or what was next. I remember finding out that it was the afgainistains that did it and thats when everyone began showing patritism. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. Yes and No, I've always cared about America and I was always patriotic, but when that happened I became more patriotic, I heared a unch of stories. This has brought us closer together. Its a shame that it took something as bad as 9-11 to bring us closer together. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? That we where closer together after that, I belive that we should remember everyone that lost they're life and everyone who was friends or related to someone who lost they're lives we should remember the Firefighters, the NYPD, the Paramedics, the people in the towers, the inocent people in the plane. We should not forget. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? Yes I did fly an American flag after september 11th. There was also a quote un-quote riot, or gathering of people that was controlled by the Oak Lawn Police we all stood there showing our pride in America waveing our flags, and chanting U.S.A.
