From California: I fisrt came to know what was happening in New York when watching CNN as part of my daily routine when getting ready for work each morning.. I turned CNN on at about 5:30am (West Coast Time) and happened to be sitting down when CNN tuned to the horrific events that was just unfolding at the WTC in NY.. First it was thoguht a small plan had just hit the WTC, but from what I observed - the size of the gapping hole was to large to be a small plane.. As I sat watching the news on TV, then the second Jet hit the second tower.. I sat there confused/shocked, at first didn't understand what I was seeing.. You see horrific events happened around the World, but in the United States.? It just leaves you knumb in disbelief - this doesn't happen in our Country.. Later that day when everything sunk in my head, my life then changed.! Family, Friends had more meaning than ever before.!! Yes my life has changed, I appreciate life, family, friends and people I don't even know so much more now.. My surrondings, our surrondings, we all take this for granted.. People need to know and remember that 9/11 will now always stand for Freedom and why the United States fights for freedom around the World.! All those innocent lives taken at the WTC on 9/11, even though they didn't know it at time, their lives were sacraficed for our cause and country.. They helped keep Freedom alive and have woken up the rest of the World to understand what Freedom means.!! NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th?
