NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. I used to be really rude to people for no reason and I would just make fun of them all the time. On September 11, 2001, during school they turned on the tv's, and let us watch what was happening. I was only in eighth grade. At first most of us thought it was just a movie, or some big prank to freak us out. Then we figured out it was real when the people looked so terrified. We got really scared and a bunch of us got checked out or called home asking about family members and friends. The teachers started to worry more and so did we. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. I accept people for who they are more, I am much closer to my family now. I am a lot nicer to people. It has really turned my life around. I was starting to hang out with the wrong people and do some realy ad stuff. But I don't do any of that any more. I really have gotten my priorities stratiened out. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? the lives that were lost and the familes. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? Yes and not really. I don't say the pledge. I just don't see the point of saying a pledge to a flag. Maybe if it was really explained to me I would understand it more.
