I received a call from a friend, waking me up that morning. She was asking me what I though.. scared as every American. Turning on CNN I was in total shock. Just a few minutes before the second plane hit the WTC, I saw it all unfold. While I live in Atlanta, GA I was distanced from the events.. Still I felt like it was in my own back yard. Living in the city of the busiest airport I normaly see 20-30 planes on their final aproach, 24 hours a day. It was so surreal for two days not only seeing the lack of planes in the air but not hearing that noise that has become such a normal part of life that I never usually even notice. Well, that is till that day. I will never forget that when the planes began to take to the sky again.. everyone just stoped what they were doing. Stood still, staring at the sky. A little fearful yes, but more than anything proud that Americia was getting back on her feet. We might have been shaken but we stand with our face to the wind and say " you might shake us, you might make us loose our footing for a short moment in time but YOU WILL NOT BLOW US DOWN!!!!!!!!" May God forever bless America and may we forever be proud of the country we are so fortunate to live in, and never fail to protect our freedom!
