Title A name given to the resource September 11 Digital Archive Stories Description An account of the resource This collection is the bulk of the archive, representing the reactions and experiences of thousands of individuals beginning in 2002. 911DA Story 911DA Story: Story Tell us about what you did, saw, or heard on September 11th. Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was in a meeting and was told by my supervisor that a plane had hit the WTC. We turned on the big screen tv and watched CNN recap the events, we then watched the second plane fly into the 2nd tower. We all knew then that we were under attack. We contemplated on ending the meeting because we all worked for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and weren't sure of what would be expected. We were then told that a plane had flown into the Pentagon and only blocks away from the Capitol and the White House we all grew cautious of what to do next. My father works in Crystal City and often engages in meetings at the Pentagon, which caused me to panic, not knowing if he had been at one of those meetings that day. I shocked myself because my father and I had only renewed our relationship recently. I later found out that he was in Atlanta on a business trip. I realized then that whatever we didn't have in the past was irrelevant. I knew then that I really did love my father and wanted him alive as long as possible. I am grateful to God that he spared my family and friends, but prayful to Him for those that weren't so fortunate.
