i am a nurse's aide on an alzeimer's floor when we saw on tv the planes hit the trade centers. we all sat there in awwww!! some cried and called home, others sat their very quiet. i had a friend who was supposed to leave for italy the following day, but thank god did not. i called my friend and begged them not to go. the most horrible thing was some of our residents understood what was going on and the first thing that came to their minds was pearl harbor!! it was very sad to see these people go through this all over again. when i fianlly went home i just hugged my youngest son and when my oldest son got off the bus i grabbed him and hugged him and thanked god it wasn't me or my family. dawne taylor
