NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. On September 11th i experienced the fate and tragedy of terrorist attacks. This was my first terrorist attack that I could remember because I was old enough to remember it. When the first attack happened I was sitting in science and my school principal interupted our class with the news. He let the kids with parents working call them and tell them what was going on. After that we just sat at our tables and watched the television. We went on with our normal day after lunch. Once i got home i stayed inside and watched the television for at least two ours listening to the latest news. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. My life has changed not very much but it has changed. Now when I am walking down the street or riding in a car and I see an airplane i wonder how the people who had to go through knowing that they were going to die felt. I see a person of that decent and wonder if they could be terrorist too but then i realize that everyone deserves a chance in life just because a few of them did it doesnt mean all of them did. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? I think many of things should be remembered about September 11th. One thing is that opur country went down in turmoil and just got that much stronger. We increased security, we stepped up the amount of police power, and the country grew that much closer together. After September 11th we should remember the people who fought down the terrorist in the plane that didn't make it to its destination. We should remember the people trapped in the World Trade Center that just went on a normal day to work and didn't come home to their families. All the fire fighters who lost their lives just doing their job. We should also remember the ones who survived the tragedy and praise them as well because they are going to have a permanet scar of what happened. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? My family did fly an American Flag in front of our house before and after September 11th. The American Flag to me is a symbol of team work and strength. Our Flag represents the number one country in the world we are free we can do pretty much anything we want. This country represents a strong working force and it also represents a hard working team that does nothing but better itself each time something tragic happens.
