Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: It was a regular day in September, and I started to make my way to the cafeteria for lunch. I ate my peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and visited some of my friends on the other side of the cafeteria. They were all trying to get something out of my friend Cody. They kept asking, "what happened?" Earlier that day he had a doctor's appointment, and watched the news of the day on the TV in the waiting room. Of course when he came to school later that afternoon, none of us knew except him. So of course all he would tell us is that something bad happened. Finally he told us, and that was the first time I heard it, terrorist attack. After recess everyone went to the gym, and we got all the details on the attack on the World Trade Center. there had been two planes that hit each tower; a 747 and a 737. First was the North Tower and then 18 minutes later the South Tower was hit. Soon after, the South Tower started to collapse, and came down into a pile of rubble. the smoke and dust filled the wide, shadowed canyons between the buildings. People tried to outrun this horrid wall of dust only to find themselves trapped from all around, with no place to run. To top things off, the North Tower also collapsed a little while after the South Tower. All this news was overwhelming, and to me it was kind of unbelievable. It took a while for it to set in.
