NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. On the day of September 11th, I was in the woods. I was in the woods of Virginia. My school is located in southern Virginia. At 11a.m., our principal of the school wanted all students to meet in the lunch hall. Everyone met in the lunch hall, and I could not believe what I heard. Mr. Jacobson explained that terrorists attacked the Pentagon and World Trade Center by flying planes into them. Being in the woods I had nothing to worry about. I worried about my mother because she worked five miles away from the Pentagon. No matter where you lived, there was fear. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? Every person who died in the 9/11 terrorist attack should obviously be remembered. The terrorists should be remembered. Not because they are great. Their motives and actions have changed billions of lives in some way. Understanding the terrorists is beneficial. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? There is no right or wrong in my world. There is obviously limits, and we humans are guided by prinicples, morals, traditions, and so on. When stating my opinion about the American flag, I do not think it's right. Neither do I think it is wrong. We at all times should be proud of our flag. 9/11 should not bring American spirit. We are selfish. We only change when we are insecure or bothered.
