NMAH Story: Story

I witnessed September 11th in Mrs. Crisi's biology class in 9th grade. We hear someone say the WTC had been bombed but we didnt believe it so after someone else said that they saw it on TV we also turned our TV on. We turned it on just as the 2nd tower was about yo collapse. No one knew what to do every one in teh streets were going crazy, teh reporters didn't know what to do. We just sat there and watched in awe and disbelief as the huge towers fell to the ground.

NMAH Story: Life Changed

My life has changed but not in the way that alot of other peoples has. Alot of people were scared to go out, scared to fly in airplanes, and scared of people or arab descent thinking that they must be terrorists. I didn't let any of that scare me because that is one of the ways we would let terrorists win. My life has changed in the sense that I have alot more pride in our country and I believe more in teh people that live in it.

NMAH Story: Remembered

I think that the main thing that should be remembered about september 11th is the New York City Fire Fighters. Over 300 of them voluntarily gave their lives to save others. Even more put themselves in danger to save the lives of others. Another thing that should be remembered about 9/11 is how teh nation came together as a whole to deal with and honor the deaths of the thousands of innocent citizens and the hundreds of dead fire fighters.

NMAH Story: Flag

Yes my family did fly an American flag after the events of 9/11. Before 9/11 I was ignorant to the importance and representation of the American flag as the country's symbol. Since the events of September 11th I have had a much greater respect for the flag and its meaning. God Bless America, and teh pledge of allegance a have a much greater effect on my when i hear them being performed.
