NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. Like everyone else in the world, my day started with my normal routine of opening my restaraunt. Around 9:20, my assistant manager came in and began spilling out what was happening and vague detail. To be honest, I really had no idea what the severity of the incident was till i came home that night and witnessed it on t.v. However, it did make me call home and check on everyone and surprisingly, my sister was supposed to be on a plane to Las Vegas from Missouri but cancelled. Whether or not that plane could have be hi-jacked, i'll never know but i am truly grateful. Upon seeing the explosions and the towers crumbling in a cloud of endless smoke, i began to cry. I could just not even fathom such a thing. Every emotion began to reach out to the helpless victims in the planes not knowing their fates and to the employees in the towers praying to god for their own fate as well. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. I can honestly say that my life has not changed significantly. It has made me strongly question our governments overall best interest for us. I now take every day to the fullest. I have to say that i look at non-american born people very different now. Who can you trust??? NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? The coming of the people should be remembered. Every person came together and realized that we are truly in a sense one big family. The war of color, religion, money, basically human difference came to a halt and we all ran for one goal....human life. That to me is the proudest moment in my history of american life. Everyone alive and gone was and is and always will be a hero in time. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? I have not flown an american flag since 9/11. I have had a problem with that due to the fact that patriotism should have always been around since our founding fathers came here. Why did it take 5000 deaths to make people realize how great the flag is and what is represents? I have always had faith and loyalty in the american flag and what america was truly meant to be....
