NMAH Story: Story
On September 11 i was in volleyball practice when one of my coaches came in and said that a plane had hit the Twin Towers in New York. After athletics i went to my second period class, leadership, and my teacher had the news turned on and we were watching the t.v. when the second plane hit.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
Life has been about the same except instead of just worrying about teenage problems, i have thought about more terroristic threats and how easily something like that could happen in our area. In the area I live there are many refineries and we have heard that we are one of the top places that would be bombed due to the fact that it would destroy everything around here in a matter of seconds.
NMAH Story: Remembered
I think that we should remember many things, and i know that it will never be forgotten, but i think most importantly we should remember that we are Americans and we have the freedom that many states envy. I also think we should remember how well all of America pulled together to help, and how much we knew that if we worked enough we could do anything because we are such a stong country.
NMAH Story: Flag
My feelings about the American flag have changed. I now realise how much it means and how much pride we should have in our flag and in our country. I try to have as much respect for the flag as posible and i tend to get angry when people do things that are disrespectful to it.
