I could not pull myself away from the TV, called into work and stated I would be late. They did not know what was happening, told them to turn on the TV. I finally did go to work only to sit with them all glued to the television for hours. I cried many times. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. I am more cautious about who is around me, also constantly looking to the skies with any form of aircraft going over. I am more aware of my surroundings. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? The people lost, the families of the lost, the people that gave their lives to try to save others. How the entire country came together as one with heartache and pain. I felt like I was there with all of them. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? Yes I did fly our flag. I have always respected the flag of our country but, after that day, I feel it made me have much more respect for it due to the pain, tears, caring, help and love that was shown by our fellow americans. That day was devistating for me. I appreciate the fact I live in USA! I stand very proud.
