NMAH Story: Story

I was walking itno Mrs. Durrence's English class. I remember her television was on, and she was looking up at the screen with tears in her eyes. I remember thinking that the report was a prompt for an essay. I thought the whole thing was fake at first, but then I realized it was real, and the whole class just sat there in shock while Mrs. Durrence regained her composer. We had a class discussion about it, and we did wind up writing an essay about what we felt about the whole situation.

NMAH Story: Life Changed

In all honesty, my life hasn't changed at all. The way I view certain things about our world and the way it works has altered somewhat, but the way I live my life has not changed. I don't beleive that tradgedy or fear should dictate our lives or the way that we live them.

NMAH Story: Remembered

The fear and after affects should be remembered. We should always know that someone else has the power to hurt us, and that is something to fear, but we must also believe that by coming together, we are stronger than any threat.

NMAH Story: Flag

My grandparents flew an American Flag after the attack on September 11. I remember watching them put it up, and I saw my Pepaw's eyes tear as he looked up at it, and my Devane took his arm, and they went back inside. My Pepaw was in Vietnam, and knowing the way he feels about our flag makes me feels strongly about it as well. Seeing him so close to tears tore me apart. I know that at the end of this war, that flag will fly high because we will be victorious. I can't wait for that day.
