NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. September 11th was a school day for me. They kept us in classes the whole day before finaly telling us! I was in 8th grade. A lot of kids were pulled out of school and I had no idea why. When the day finally was over and announments came on they had told us what happened. I didnt think much of it at the moment because they were very brief on details. When I got home and turned on the TV I was shocked to see what actually did happen. I had no idea it was going to be so bad. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. After September 11, 2001 my emotions were hurt to a huge exctent. I couldn't even turn on the TVo for a week or two because the pictures, tapes, and everything was being showed over and over again on every channel. I knew some families and friends who also perished at the tragedy. It seemed like the whole world was going through hell! The impact hit me and everyone else very hard. I think it has greatly effected everyones lives. It will be a day that should never be forgotten and it should also be a great learning expierence for others. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? I think that the people who perrished should be remebered, the fire fighters, the famlies of victoms, and any one who was involvded with what had happened that day. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? Yes, I did fly an american flag after September 11th. The only thing that makes me upset is that in order for the United States to all pull together and unite as one a tragedy had to happen. It prooves that America was never United so why did we call the "UNITED" States?
