Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: Like the rest of America, my personal images of what I saw and felt are burned permanently on my mind. But what came after is a change in my life that occured, most likely, because of the attacks. I had recently broke up with my partner and I was feeling depressed and dejected; I drank heavily and generally lost the will to just live and enjoy life. On 21 October, I stopped drinking and began to turn things around for myself. I realized the enormity of the losses of so many people in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania and felt I had no right to grieve for a lost love any longer-my problems seemed so trite in comparison. Today, I am sober still and try to keep all the small inconveniences and difficulties in life in their proper, small proportions. 11 September has changed my views of what is important in this life and what is really just inconsequential "filler."
