Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: Hi, my name is Stephannie Aquil. I used to live in New York, now I'm living in North Carolina. I just moved here two months ago. I was in New York when all this happened. I was in my school, University Neighborhood High School, in the Lower East Side, Manhattan. September 11,2001 was my first day at that school. All I hear during that time, I hear a sound going, "BOOM!". We were able to see the Twin Towers from my school, but like I said earlier it was my first day, so, I could'nt see them. When I was walking to the school, I told my mom the we've seen the Tower almost everywhere that exact same day. This happened on a tuesday, my mom on sunday was making plans with her friend to go to the towers on TUESDAY, but we did'nt go because we started school. So, back to the story, I hear boom . I thought it was those things that stud! ents use for the experiments of volcanoes. I hear my assisstant princial teeling us that a plane crashed into the Twin Towers. I did'nt even know what were the "World Trade Center" . But then later on, I see this girls crying because they had family members working there. They told me that the twin towers collapsed. I was like "what?". I could'nt believe it. I called my mom like two hours after. She came to pick me up. We had to go walikng form my school, from Madison and Montgomery all away to 14 Street Union Square. From there we took th train to my house, to the Bronx. I bought the newspaper from th whole week and the one from the year after. Now I'm in North Carolina, which I don't really want to be here. Well Thank You for giving me the chance of telling you how was my day on 9/11/2001.
