911DA Story: Story
I was on the phone with a customer when she started screaming "Oh my God!" repeatedly. I didn't have a TV there, but she told me what was happening and I immediately turned on the radio to 101.1 to listen in. I knew we were going to war and called my fiance at work. He worked at the airport in Houston, Texas. He is a Marine, reserves. He said they were watching on the TV in the break room. I was so afraid, for our country, for my children, and for him. I will never forget that feeling, it was like my world fell apart. And I was so far away, I had no family involved. I didn't experience the loss of life that so many had, but I did experience the loss of freedom. I felt violated, hate, and sorrow all at the same time. I was overwhelmed with compassion for all the children, wives, husbands, parents, etc. that was affected so badly by all of this.
