Thank you so much for your generous gift to the American Red Cross to help meet
the demands of this catastrophe.

As you know, on Tuesday, September 11, the United States suffered the worst
terrorist attack on American soil in history. This catastrophic event has
created need that is unprecedented in American history. As the arduous rescue
effort in New York City, and the relief effort to the many thousands of
Americans who have been affected by this nationwide tragedy continue, the Red
Cross is very much aware of new emerging needs borne of this disaster. In
response, we have created The American Red Cross Liberty Disaster Relief Fund to
help the American people respond to and cope with the impact of this catastrophe
to its conclusion, keeping our promise to be there to offer life-saving help, in
any manner required.

Your heartfelt support is key to our relief effort. It will be a long and
difficult road to recovery for the United States as we deal with this crisis.
The Red Cross will be there every step of the way, and so will you, through your
