Hi Lara - Thanks for calling.

NYC is an absolute MESS. We are still looking for friends and neighbors. The whole city is devastated and completely empty. It's nearly immpossible to get a phone connection. Every so often my phone rings and there is someone who is so happy to FINALLY get through. Yesterday I walked for blocks to get uptown to a friend of mine who brought me home. We were sitting in a cafe with army planes and helicopters circling - everyone looked horrified - it was like one of those war zones that you see in Time and on CNN. I am devastated.

As you can imagine, I have my "butch" hat on. I'm taking this like a tough girl - being strong has never been so dificult.

Pano still has not come home - he probably won't be able to until at least Friday. I don't know when we will go back to work. That being said we are both fine.

I appreciate your thinking of me. We'll get through this.
