Traffic - both pedestrian and vehicular - was back to normal this morning. Guardsmen are still positioned at some intersections, but they have moved. Instead of being positioned at 13th & K (right outside my office) there was a group at 13 & I and another at 13th & New York - the next two blocks down. Don't know the rationale for that move, but it somehow seems hopeful. And they were actually out of the humvees, looking far more alert than the guys I told you about yesterday.
I'm afraid this is all you're getting today. I wrote that paragraph when I got in this morning at 9:15 and have not had a chance to return to it until now - 5:40. Judging by the pace of the research requests coming in to me today, the attorneys at least are recovering well.
I will probably send more on Monday - provided the attorneys have settled down.
