Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was at my desk in The Pentagon that morning when my boss' wife called on the phone to say that a plane crashed into the World Trade Center. I was able to access the CNN Web Site and my boss walked down to the General's office to watch what was to enfold on TV. Shortly, thereafter, he can running back to our office to tell us that he watched the second plane's impact. One of my office mates asked the question if another plane could attack us in The Pentagon. I argued against that possibility. Being utterly unaware of what was to happen, I told my boss that I was going to The Pentagon gym so that I could return and set up a noon meeting I had organized. 20 minutes lated the third plane hit The Pentagon. The plane headed directly for my office on the B Ring. The plane penetrated rings E,D and puched a hole through the far wall on ring C, but did not hit the B ring. The people in our office were thrown backward by the concussion of the impact, but were otherwise okay. All in our office escaped the building okay. My boss bruised his posterior in the blast. (I kidded him that I would put him in for a Purple Heart.) I was in the gym on the other side of The Pentagon. I heard and felt nothing. I only found out by watching CNN Headline News. I was able to call my wife and father at their homes to say I was OK. I walked out of doors with my gym clothes and my Pentagon badge. I watched from the North Parking area and listened to the radio for 45 minutes or so. We were ordered to leave immediately becuase we were told another plane was due in. I walked two miles north to Rosslyn and showed my badge to the Metro site manager. I took the metro back to my home in Rockville and my wife picked me up. I was at my home computer working emergency staff actions by noon.
