911DA Story: Story

My Frother-in-law and Sister-in-law and I went to Las Vegas, We were staying at the Golden Nugget Casino. I was in My Room watching Television wnen I saw the Bulletin, I promptly called My In-laws and told Them to turn on Their Television, then I went across the hall and joined Them. We were stunned and saddened, it was so hard to see all of this happening, I think We all walked around in a daze. All of the Machines in the Casinos were quiet, nobody felt like Gambling. We were scheduled to leave on the thirteenth, but could not get a confirmed Flight until the sixteenth, We called the desk and told Them We would need Our Rooms for a few more days. They complied and informed Us that since We would probably be there until the weekend, They usual policy was to raise the Rates on the weekends, which They did. When We finally left Las Vegas for Flint, Michigan, We were glad to get back Home, when we arrived at the Terminal in Flint, My Brother-in-law went to get My car from the parking lot, the attendent there didn't charge Us for the extra days. The difference in Locales was amazing. I would be proud to have this printed and displayed at The Smithsonian, since in 1945, I was a Government Worker in Washington D.C. Thank You For Allowing Me to tell My Story, Sincerely Jeanette R. Hughes
