This photo was taken on November 3, 2001 and shows the last section standing of One World Trade Center. We were able to walk as far down the street as half a block beyond the stop sign. Police were guarding the fence and forbidding people to take photos. Pieces of paper were still drifting down from the building behind the stop sign and its window sills still had several inches of ash on them. So did the cars in the parking garage. The following evening, this section of street was blocked off due to electrical work being done and a man in a cherry picker with a high powered hose was blasting the ash from the window sills.
