<dcterms:description>After 9/11, I happened upon images of the world's grief that moved me so deeply, I had to make a collage of them. I do not own any of these photos. The world owns them. Humanity owns them.

There is a little girl in a yellow raincoat (my favorite of all the images) who was, I believe, in the Ukraine -- my memory may be inaccurate...

In the center of this collage are two young Arab women in Palestine. Many Arabs were sickened with grief over what the fanatical extremists of their culture did.

In the lower left corner is a German ship that passed by an American ship in the days or weeks after 9/11, and flew our flag and saluted our men as they passed at sea.

On the right are people in Kosovo. Their pain is obvious. A friend deeply hurt, an injustice committed, a travesty to such a generous, charitable country.

Above that, a young woman in France wears red, white and blue and creates a candlelight memorial in Paris. Next to that, candles reflected on a glossy floor at the Volkswagen museum in Germany.

In Rome, people gather and march behind a banner denouncing terrorism.

Above that, a candlelight memorial in England. The young woman kneeling in black next to flowers at a gate - a Canadian scene.

At that time, the leader of France deeply expresses a commitment to support America as a faithful ally. Hmm...

In other parts of the world, firefighters gather, hats off, to pay their respects to our brave, fallen rescuers.

A bell in a church is rung for the U.S.

More candles lit all over the world. More flowers laid out in sorrow.

The flags of the world all lowered to half-mast in Europe.

I hope nobody prosecutes me for copyright violations. I have not made a cent off this image. It has been only for personal use and social encouragement. </dcterms:description>
