Sept. 11 victims fund

To those adminstering the victims fund:

We have only recently been told that gay and lesbian partners of those who
died on September 11 are not automatically going to receive the same
benefits as heterosexual spouses. This is an outrage. The loss is no less
traumatic or damaging for those surviving partners than it is for the
heterosexual spouses.

It seems especially hypocritical to give benefits to fetuses and families of
illegal aliens and to then turn our backs on the gay and lesbian partners.
Please reconsider these actions and show the kind of compassion that we feel
is warranted at this time.
