September 11 Victim Compensation Fund
Dear Mr. Zwick,
I am writing in response to the Department's request for public comments regarding the forthcoming regulations for implementing and administering the "September 11 Victim Compensation Fund."
I don't agree with the lifestyle of gay and lesbian people, and as a Christian I concur with the Bible definition about that lifestyle. But who am I to judge? The committed partners and the non-biological children of gay and lesbian victims need to be compensated from the fund, just like anyone else. Are you also going to look into the lifestyle of every other person before they are compensated to make sure they don't have any hidden issues? I strongly urge the Department to draft regulations that ensure compensation is available to all victims of the attack. To deny anyone help seems cruel to me.
And I urge the Department to do so swiftly. Many survivors of people killed in the attack are in dire straights because the millions that were donated by the people in America are not reaching them. What has happened to these donations?
Sincerely,
Individual Comment
Wasco, Oregon
