Your attention is drawn to the commentary "9/11 Fund To Discriminate Against Gays" Commentary, by , wherein "Kenneth Feinberg, the head of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund (a fund created by Congress and run by the Department of Justice)," claims the applicable states' laws are being observed. Oh? Since when has our federal government seen fit to parallel state laws? If Mr. Feinberg is to be taken seriously, then the DOJ will stop its harassment of Oregon doctors who are obeying state law by providing for painless suicide. If Mr. Feinberg is to be taken seriously, then the DOJ will stop hasseling marajuana users in the 11 or so states where MJ is legal medicine. On the other hand, if Mr. Feinberg is LYING, then the DOJ spokesperson is saying "We will play God. We may deny there is a God, daily except Sunday mornings; but that's okay, we'll play God's Hand as we see fit." The next step, of course, is the ballot box; if the GOP allows this to proceed, they will be handing both House and Senate msajorities to the Democrats on a gold platter. It's very difficult to vote for people who oppose one's own standards.
