Victims Compensation Fund Eligibility
Gentlemen:
I have two concerns about the distribution of the
money to the "victims" of 11 September:
1. Whether an individual had life insurance or not
should have no bearing on the amount they receive. If
the premiums were paid with their disposable income,
you should not penalize that family since they gave up
the use of those funds for additional protection. The
family's present financial situation should not
influence the amount to be received.
2. I have great concern with using taxpayer's money
for compensation to what is called "undocumented"
aliens. If this is just a politically correct way of
saying "illegal" aliens, I object strongly to giving
taxpayer's money to someone who has broken US law. It
is rewarding bad behavior with our money and should
not take place. Do you intend to send money to the
hijackers' families as well? They too were in our
country illegally and should have no monetary benefit
from illegal actions.
Thank you for your consideration and remember, this is
not your money, it is ours (taxpayers).
