Thursday, March 21, 2002 12:46 PM Gay partners of WTC victims I am completely perplexed that the U.S. government would allow family of illegal aliens to receive monetary (and other) support with our tax dollars AND disallow the same support for partners of gay victims of the WTC attack. This is an especially cruel posture considering that one of the "heros" of the flight that decided to fight back with the terrorists was gay. The chaplain, who was one of the first on the scene to assist in saving the victims, was gay. I am sure there were countless more gay victims and heros. Why do we allow people to consider homosexuals as second-class citizens...actually, less than second-class if we're giving illegal aliens more support..no, make that support (since partners of gay victims are getting NO support) than gay American citizens. Please support the gay partners of victims of WTC. Thanks.
