911 Fund


As a supporter of the gay & lesbian community, I refuse to accept the discrimination demonstrated by Congress on the issue of unfair distribution of compensation from the 911 Fund. I will work along side other supporters to effect a change in this policy. I am enraged that this inequality continues to manifest so blatantly in our society. It is my opinion that our lawmakers are hypocritical when they resist necessary changes in discrimination policies and on the other hand are fighting so hard to make our country safe from terrorism. Is it not terrorism to refuse equal rights to all U.S. citizens. I see terrorism as a crime of hatred. Under this definition, we may be witness to mass hate crimes committed every day because our government refuses to recognize the equality of all people. Our politicians are cowardly when they bend under the pressure of others despite what is right and just. It is my opinion that those that are not part of the solution are indeed part of the problem.
